Team Action Target Makes a Mark at the 2017 NRA Bianchi Cup

PROVO, Utah –-(Ammoland.com)- Action Target Inc., the leading manufacturer of modern shooting ranges, was proud to sponsor law enforcement firearms instructor Kyle Schmidt and Special Agent Enoch Smith at the 2017 NRA Bianchi Cup.

One of the most highly acclaimed competitive shooting contests in the world, 180 of the world’s best action pistol shooters participated in the Bianchi Cup this year at the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Hallsville from May 24th-27th. Also in attendance were US Service teams represented by the US Army Marksmanship Unit, the Marine Corps and Border Patrol.

After scoring a perfect 1920 last year in the Open Division, Kyle Schmidt returned this year to compete in the Metallic Division. Shooting a Springfield Custom 1911, Schmidt set a new Bianchi Cup record with a score of 1913, breaking Rob Leatham’s record of 1910 in 2005. Less than an hour later, Schmidt’s record was broken as Rob Vadasz from the Border Patrol team who scored a 1914. This record was also short-lived as Army Marksmanship Unit Sgt. First Class finished with an unprecedented perfect score of 1920.
