StarTrek Geek Buys Phaser Gun Sells for £40,000
Want to go where no gun show has gone before? Then you’ll need $59,971.40 US Dollar, that’s £40,000 at today’s rates.
The fibreglass prop is one of only two known to exist from the TV show, which followed the adventures of Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, on the Starship Enterprise.
Star Trek is now considered one of the best sci-fi series ever made and original props can fetch a high price among fans.
Experts found out the phaser appears in an episode first broadcast in March 1968.
