Leupold Optics shared photos on its Facebook page last week of a scope that was recovered recently after being lost in the Idaho wilderness for more than a decade.
The rifle equipped with the scope was found by a man who brought it to a sporting goods store, and the store owner identified the rifle as one he had lost some 11 years ago.
As the photos show, the Weatherby Mark V was severely damaged by the elements, but the scope, Leupold claims, remains completely intact, fog-free and fully functional with a beautiful patina to boot.
