Arizona Game and Fish DepartmentPHOENIX, Ariz. -(Ammoland.com)- Arizona dove hunters shouldn’t pass up a shot to attend this weekend’s Arizona Get Outdoors Expo at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

With the season opener only weeks away, Arizona Game and Fish Department experts will be on hand to provide dove-hunting tips from 2:30-3 p.m. Saturday and 1:30-2 p.m. Sunday on the KTAR Stage.

Those presentations then will be followed by 30-minute dove-cooking demonstrations (also on the KTAR Stage) by chef Kurtis Purdy of Tonto Bar and Grill in Cave Creek.

Meanwhile, dove hunters also will be able to purchase an Arizona hunting license and Arizona Migratory Bird Stamp at the department’s booth.

In fact, those hunters who buy a migratory bird stamp will be entered to win the following:

  • A 12-gauge Winchester Super-X Pump Field, a “Grand Prize Partner” raffle item donated by the Valley of the Sun Chapter of Quail Forever. The firearm’s receiver will be engraved with the Quail Forever logo.
  • A pass to the Ben Avery Clay Target Center, with drawings every hour.
