Three students were arrested following a fight at a St. Paul high school Monday morning that led to a lockdown of the school after multiple weapons were seen.
Authorities say the fight, which started as a verbal confrontation, was a planned event between two students and unfolded in a bathroom at Central High School around 10 a.m.
Police recovered a pellet gun and two knives from the students involved in the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries. The St. Paul Police Department confirmed around 12:30 p.m. that there was no further threat to the school community.
Three students were arrested for the fiasco, which the school did not seem to take lightly.
“There are severe consequences for students who behave this way,” the school district said in statement. “As always, safety remains a top concern for Central High School and every other school within [St. Paul Public Schools].”
