Q: Rick, need your input. Here’s the deal. I was in the bank today. Because of PFZ’s I opened carried. So, the Manager approached me and started to give me the spill. I know why your carrying… But under my discretion. Since this is a federally bank. Blah blah blah. So I told her, I’m a valid CPL holder and mentioned the law to her. She says customers could get scared seeing firearm, and next time please leave in your car. But she still took care of my business. What you think?

A: First and foremost, if you have a CPL, you can legally carry a pistol – open or concealed – in a bank. Secondly, the owners of the bank have private property rights. Thus, they can ask you to leave – if they object to your firearm – and possibly have you prosecuted for trespassing if you stick around. So, my feedback to you is simple: either conceal carry in your bank or do business with a bank that is carry friendly.
