U.S. gun maker and importer American Tactical expanded the Calvary line of shotguns, unveiling the new Road Agent 12-gauge shotgun.
The shotgun features side-by-side external hammers as well as the company’s patent-pending Decocker System. The gun auto-cocks both hammers when the shooter breaks the barrel to load it. The de-cocker lever automatically sets the gun to the “safe” position. Shooters only need to move the de-cocker lever to the de-cock position and both hammers will drop without striking the firing pins. When users are ready to fire, breaking the barrel re-cocks the hammer.
The Road Agent boasts an 18.5-inch carbon steel barrel with black aluminum finish, aluminum receiver, intricate scroll engraving and hand finished wooden stock and forearm. With an overall length of 35.4-inches and an unloaded weight of 5.3 pounds, the shotgun offers a 14.75-inch length of pull from the rear trigger. To match the external hammer design, the Road Agent also features double triggers so shooters can shoot both barrels at once.
The Road Agent is now available with a retail price just under $600.
